Dreams

If ever I should dream,
It will be a solitary, tranquil bridge
Where peace and quiet reign supreme,
Under an open sky, with a dancing bird, and a beautiful night gleam.

If I ever should dream,
It will be a lively open house,
Filled with loud cries and booming laughs,
Even as the world turns bitter, like a poisonous cup of wine.

If shining fireflies fade away,
And my faith begins to fray,
Still, I’ll seek out that wishing star,
For the promise of a new day,
And dream again in the silent night’s gentle sway.
